Santa Esperanza is delighted to welcome back Manuel Costela with his third release on the label. 'Ur My All' and its b-side 'Original Step' strike the perfect balance between mellow chillout and upbeat disco, perfectly showcasing Costela's versatility as a musician.
A man of many talents, Costela is a producer, DJ and also the founder of Madrid-based, vinyl-only label Bucketround.
He creates a soothing atmosphere on top of a funk instrumental foundation on 'Ur My All', with its chord progression based around lush 7th chords and its delicate vocal pads that bounce off each other before disappearing into the ether. Second track 'Original Step' includes vibrant, snappy strings that punctuate a more uptempo beat.
