Next on Santa Esperanza we partner up with our friend, Manuel Costela from the Spanish Bucketround Record label. Manuel also records as Oval Future Face and started Bucketround in 2006. A first for us as Santa Esperanza his 3 track EP is a real treat and perfect for summer.
First is the smooth slow-funk Disco of "Always You". Fresh from an appearance on the Nang Beach Disco 9 compilation the track is the sound of summer. Percussive bass grooves, shimmering string lines and funky-evening summer guitar.
"Childhood Time" is fine track - think summer nu-disco with a touch of Pet Shop Boys "West End Girls" and you get the idea. Its smooth, slick and sultry. Fine music. To finish the EP there is a remix from "Sauco" who take a dance floor detour. Bigger drums, bigger hi-hats and bigger bass for a that peak-time Ibiza mid evening slot.
